In Tekken 4, it can be seen hanging on the front of her pants and on her Player 2 shirt, while in Tekken 5/Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection and Tekken 6, her pants are decorated with a single butterfly on each thigh and a butterfly pin holds the straps of her top together. A common theme for Christie's Capoeira style outfits is that of a butterfly.Regular Capoeira pants are white and have some sort of stripped rope indicating one's level however, Christie's outfits seem to be a more glamorous version of these pants. In order to find her grandfather and save him, Christie enters The King of Iron Fist Tournament 6.In her ending Christie is shown standing at a grave with a coffin that hasn't been buried yet. When she inquires about her grandfather at the hospital he was at she is told that he was transferred to the Mishima Zaibatsu's medical facility. Upon her arrival, she discovers that both her master and Eddy are missing. Tekken 6 An image of a customized Christie in Tekken 6Ĭhristie entered the previous tournament in hopes of winning the tournament to save her grandfather, but she was defeated, and returns home. ![]() This turns out to be Christie's grandfather, and he proceeds to replace Eddy, practicing capoeira with his granddaughter. As the "Operating" light goes off, the scene changes to Eddy and Christie practicing their capoeira, when all of a sudden, someone grabs Eddy's leg. In her non-canonical CG ending, we see Christie and Eddy in a hospital's waiting room, awaiting the end of a surgery. ![]() After hearing the announcement of The King of Iron Fist Tournament 5, Christie enters, hoping to win the tournament and take control of the Mishima Zaibatsu, and all of its advanced Medical equipment in hopes that she may be able to save her grandfather. Upon taking her grandfather to a hospital, she was told her grandfather has been diagnosed with an incurable illness and without treatment, he only has about six months left. However, prison life had been hard on him, and he had become emaciated to the point where he was barely recognizable. Tekken 5Ĭhristie Monteiro went to the prison her grandfather was being held at, as he was to be released after a long sentence. Despite this however, she seems uninterested, but soon spots Eddy and shouts his name, then runs up and hugs him, smiling as the video ends. She is being congratulated by a variety of people, including a suit who gives her a trophy for her victory. In her non-canon Tekken 4 ending, we see Christie after she has defeated Heihachi Mishima. Christie, troubled by his sudden and abrupt disappearance, chases after Eddy with her only lead - The King of Iron Fist Tournament 4. Tekken 4 Christie Monteiro as she appears in Tekken 4Īfter Eddy had trained Christie into an impressive fighter, he mysteriously disappeared, telling Christie only that he "Must seek vengeance against the enemy responsible for the death of my father". Soon after The King of Iron Fist Tournament 3, Eddy sought after Christie and began her training. While in prison, Eddy made an oath to his master to pass on the art of Capoeira to his granddaughter. Christie Monteiro is the granddaughter of the Capoeira master who taught Eddy Gordo the art of Capoeira during his time in prison.
